I write to share the news that the original owner of this practice, my former colleague and friend, Dr. James Throckmorton, passed away quietly this week at the age of 75.
Dr. Throckmorton served this community, providing great care and friendship to many patients, including many of you, for over 35 years.
After serving in the U.S. Army, practicing dentistry at a post in Germany for 3 years, he moved back to KCMO to set up his own private practice, establishing the Swiss Chalet dental office. In the 1980s, he converted 6309 Morningside Dr. into a dental office and I purchased the practice from him in 2015 when he retired.
We’re grateful for the legacy he helped shape.
His Memorial Services will be held: Monday, July 21, 2025 at Keystone United Methodist Church from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm, followed by a Committal of Ashes with Military Honors at Mount Moriah Cemetery South. Our office will be closed part of the day Monday so we can attend the funeral and celebrate the life of Dr. James Throckmorton.
