In 2022, Dr. Jackie Sloop lost her father, Jim Bowlin, to pancreatic cancer. Jim was a beloved father and grandfather, known for his good-hearted nature, humor, and generosity—especially when it came to playing the role of tooth fairy for his grandkids. He was incredibly proud of his daughter, and was thrilled when she surprised him with her decision to become a dentist. To honor his memory, Dr. Sloop continues to support and walk in the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) PurpleStride.
