“We always donate boxes of toothbrushes and toothpaste to Giving the Basics,” shares Dr. Jackie Sloop. “It’s a natural fit for us, and we love partnering with an organization that’s doing so much good in our community.”
Hygiene products like deodorant, shampoo, soap, toothpaste and laundry detergent are not covered by any kind of government assistance programs, and many Kansas Citians struggle to obtain these items. That’s where Giving the Basics comes in. By partnering with over 700 locations, including local schools, pantries, police departments and senior centers, they distribute much-needed hygiene products to those in need and now reach over 400K people in the Kansas City area on a regular basis.
We’re proud to be a part of providing for these needs by continuing to partner with Giving the Basics by holding a Dignity Drive in September 2024.
